Woman during led treatment

Your LED Light Therapy Experience

We perform LED light therapy in the comfort of our Palo Alto office. To begin, we’ll give you a pair of goggles to protect your eyes from the light and ask you to lie on your back. Then, we will position the LED light therapy device above your face and administer the treatment for about 20 minutes. During the treatment experience, you may feel some warmth, but no pain. It’s completely non-invasive, safe, and comfortable.

Most of our patients need a series of in-office treatments to achieve their goals with LED light therapy. A typical regimen involves a weekly treatment for about one month, followed by touch-up visits every few months.

FAQ

Do at-home LED light therapy devices work?

What aftercare is involved with LED light therapy?

Is there anyone who shouldn’t have LED light therapy?

Do at-home LED light therapy devices work?

Yes, but not as well. In-office devices use more powerful strengths when compared to at-home devices, which makes them more effective and capable of delivering dramatic anti-aging and acne-reducing results.

What aftercare is involved with LED light therapy?

After your appointment, you can return to work and your normal routine right away. However, it’s important to stay out of the sun for several days. If you’ll be outside, wear a hat, seek shade, and apply extra sunscreen to protect your skin.

Is there anyone who shouldn’t have LED light therapy?

If you have a history of skin cancer, or if you’re taking medications that make you more sensitive to sunlight, LED light therapy is not an appropriate treatment.
