Your Sculptra Experience

We will perform your Sculptra injections in Palo Alto during a quick and comfortable appointment at our office. During this visit, we’ll inject Sculptra where you need it to achieve your desired effect. The most common treatment areas include the following:

Cheeks

Sculptra can tighten the skin along your cheeks, restoring a signature sign of youth and vitality. By stimulating collagen production, it helps lift and contour the mid-face, effectively softening the look of hollow or sunken cheeks.

Smile Lines

Smile lines are among the most common complaints we hear as patients age. Fortunately, the collagen produced by Sculptra beautifully softens facial folds, wrinkles, and smile lines.

Marionette Lines

Sculptra can help your body improve the appearance of marionette lines (the wrinkles that span from your mouth to your chin) by producing fresh collagen to smooth them away.

Chin

Sculptra adds volume to the chin area, enhancing projection and improving facial balance. By stimulating collagen growth, it gradually improves the chin’s contour and creates a more refined profile.

Jawline

Defining the jawline with Sculptra adds structure and balance to the lower face, minimizing jowls and creating a stronger, more youthful profile.

Temples

As we age, our temples can begin to lose their plump, youthful structure. Sculptra's collagen-stimulating effects enhance fullness for a refreshed look that blends seamlessly with your natural features.

Acne Scars

Dilute Sculptra is an effective treatment for acne scars, particularly for those with widespread or deep scarring. When diluted, Sculptra acts as a biostimulator, encouraging collagen production in the treated areas. This gradual increase in collagen helps to fill and smooth acne scars over time while also improving overall skin quality.

Most patients need two to three treatments over the course of a few months. In terms of results, Sculptra improves the quality of your skin over time. Many of our Palo Alto patients see an improvement in just one month, with results routinely lasting three to five years.

How does Sculptra work?

When we inject the poly-L-lactic particles beneath your skin, your body responds with an inflammatory process. This is a natural response to an injury and the beginning of the healing process. As your body breaks down the poly-L-lactic molecules into water and carbon dioxide that you can easily digest, it also creates collagen to rebuild the injured area—producing more volume and smoother skin.
